My family sessions are relaxed and all about capturing your family in a way that best represents you. To achieve this best, all you have to do is embrace the time with the people you love most in the world, in a way that feel genuine to you. Whether that's more quiet and curious, or more playful and fun - there is beauty in every dynamic. I give gentle direction as needed to help bring out your children's personalities and to encourage connection - and ensure I capture a mixture of organic moments, as well as family portraits.

How do I book?
Please get in touch via the 'contact' tab on this website. We aim to get back to you within 48 hours. Direct messages on Instagram and Facebook aren't closely monitored.
Once a date for your session is agreed upon, a $100 retainer is due within 48 hours to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your session date.
Bank transfers are accepted and these details will be on your invoice.
How does the client wardrobe work?
Finding nice maternity dresses can be time consuming, and an added expense that you may want to avoid. So I've curated a small collection of dresses that you can access, complimentary for your session with me.
Different colours, sizing options and styles - I've got you covered.
The process is simple - choose a couple from your options, I'll prepare them, bring them along, and then take care of the cleaning afterwards!
I feel really awkward in front of the camera, what do I do?
Trust me, I hear this all the time - followed by 'that was really fun' after the fact. I give you lots of direction and prompts to encourage movement and connection during your session. All you have to do is relax, lean into it, and love on your family.
What time do sessions take place?
Outdoor sessions take place either an hour after sunrise, or an hour before sunset. The time will depend on the month of the year your session takes place and daylight savings.
Indoor and Studio sessions take place around 10AM mid morning.
Can we choose the location for the photo shoot?
Absolutely! I'm happy to guide you along this process. I have a handful of favourite locations that have been tried and tested - and depending on what you're after, we can work together to choose a spot that most speaks to you.
What if the weather is not ideal?
Unfortunately, the weather is unpredictable and ever changing. Because of this, I usually wait until the night before (or even the day of) to make the decision on whether or not a session goes ahead. Sessions are rescheduled in the event of rain or extreme heat. They are not rescheduled for cloudy or cold conditions.
Any rescheduled session will be at JFP's earliest availability and there may be a wait for this.
When is the best time to book a maternity shoot?
Maternity sessions are best booked for 30-36 weeks. To avoid missing out, the best time to book your session is in your second trimester of pregnancy - the earlier you book, the better!
Can I bring my dog / pets?
Absolutely! As long as you don't think they would be too distracting, then by all means -- I'd love to meet your fur babies too.
