Newborn sessions take place ideally within the first 1-3 weeks after birth. This is when your new baby is most small, sleepy and curly. This is also a time where your days are a blur, and I'm here to help you remember - so you don't forget just how tiny your baby was, all their little details and how they fit into your arms. Sessions incorporate a mixture of natural as well as lightly posed photos.

How do I book?

Please get in touch via the 'contact' tab on this website. We aim to get back to you within 48 hours. Direct messages on Instagram and Facebook aren't closely monitored.

Once a date for your session is agreed upon, a $100 retainer is due within 48 hours to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your session date.

Bank transfers are accepted and these details will be on your invoice.

What time do sessions take place?

Newborn and Studio sessions take place mid morning around 10AM on a week day.

Are parents and siblings involved in a newborn session?

Yes, absolutely! Newborn sessions incorporate the entire family at no extra costs. I aim to get combinations of the whole family together, some with dad + baby, mum + baby, and siblings + baby.

How does the client wardrobe work?

Finding nice dresses can be time consuming, and an added expense that you may want to avoid. So I've curated a small collection of dresses that you can access, complimentary for your session with me. Different colours, sizing options and styles - I've got you covered. These dresses are flattering, flowy and feeding friendly.

I also have a collection of beautiful hand-knitted newborn outfits for your baby, along with blankets and swaddles that can be used for your session.

The process is simple - choose a couple from your options, I'll prepare them, bring them along, and then take care of the cleaning afterwards!

I feel really awkward in front of the camera, what do I do?

Trust me, I hear this all the time - followed by 'that was really fun' after the fact. I give you lots of direction and prompts to encourage movement and connection during your session. All you have to do is relax, lean into it, and love on your family.

What if our baby won't sleep?

After booking, I send a detailed guide on how to prepare your baby prior to your session. The instructions in this guide will hopefully create an ideal sleep window for the duration of your session.

If you are happy for me to, I am MORE THAN happy to settle your baby for you - I like to think I have lots of experience in this department.

In the event your baby just doesn't want to sleep, then we will embrace this and have lots of awake photos. No biggie at all.

When do I book my Newborn session?

The best time to secure your newborn session is when you're still pregnant - in your second or third trimester. I book you based on your 'due date' and only take a limited number of 'due date' bookings per month. A date for the session is decided and locked after your baby is Earth-side.

Please try to avoid booking too late as availability cannot be guaranteed

Are you vaccinated?

Yes. While I'm not photographing beautiful families, I work in health, closely with pregnant women and babies - so am fully up to date with all my vaccinations.
